Economics can be one of the hardest courses a student takes but can also be one of the most important to master for many career paths. The economics tutors at Veritas have all been successful in their coursework in economics and many have conducted advanced research in economics and econometrics. Whether at the high school level or in advanced economic theory classes, our tutors can help students master their economics classes and learn how to think like an economist. Our tutors are highly versed in common standardized tests in economics including Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and the SAT II’s.

Amrit is a fourth-year PhD student in Economics at Boston University. He holds a masters degree in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences from Columbia University and bachelors degrees in Physics and Political Philosophy from Amherst College. Amrit has been tutoring students since 2002, and has two years of experience as a high school math and economics teacher. He has also taught and TAed undergraduate classes at Boston University, Barnard College and Sabanci University (Istanbul, Turkey).

Jonathan graduated from a small high school in southeastern Connecticut as valedictorian of his class, and subsequently attended Boston University. At the end of his sophomore year he was admitted into a competitive dual degree program, which allowed him to graduate with both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Economics.

Heather received her B.A. in Politics from Oberlin College in 2010. In Fall 2012, she began working towards her Masters of Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
