Academic Biography

Peter graduated Phi Beta Kappa of The Johns Hopkins University in 2008, with a double degree in Mathematics from the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and Applied Mathematics and Statistics from the Whiting School of Engineering. Peter has academic interests in statistical genetics: trying to find associations between genes (or gene mutations) and complex diseases. He interned for the NIH's National Human Genome Research Institute for the past two years. Peter currently attends the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences as a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Biostatistics (at the School of Public Health). He hopes to work with the Dana Farber Cancer Research Institute. He excels at teaching all levels of math in a friendly, laid-back environment.

Personal Biography

Outside the classroom, Peter enjoys cycling, running, exploring Cambridge, indie-rock concerts, theatre, and coastal Maine. You can find him at the local coffee shops on study breaks. New to the area, Peter is excited about the opportunities in the city.
