Academic Biography
Mark is a second-year MBA Candidate at Harvard Business School (First-Year Honors). Prior to business school, he worked at McKinsey & Company in Amsterdam and London. He was in the top 10% of his class, and part of the core team that conducted preparatory case interviews and personal interviews with potential candidates. He has experience advising in all steps of the application process to top-tier strategy consulting firms (cover letter, resume, personal positioning and communication, case interview preparation). Mark graduated from University College Utrecht with a summa cum laude degree in Biochemistry (minor in Economics), and obtained Masters degrees from the University of Cambridge (Technology Policy, first degree – top of class) and the University of Amsterdam (International Economics, cum laude). He has been tutoring students on a variety of subjects since high school, and founded and ran a science student tutoring organization as an undergraduate student. He also tutored students during his Masters degrees in Technology Policy and International Economics, and has mentored many peers at Harvard Business School. Mark has a strong passion to help other develop and support them in reaching their goals through his enthusiastic, patient and adaptive tutoring style.
