Academic Biography
Jenn has been in love with teaching for seven years and enamored with the written word for her entire life. A professional educator, she teaches in the English department at Milton Academy, where she helps high school students to more clearly understand, use, and enjoy language. In her work with students, she strives not only to instill mastery of specific skills, but also to foster the kind of curiosity and confidence that will outlast any discrete lesson. Encouraging students to have their own ideas and to articulate those ideas powerfully are her favorite parts of the job. Jenn earned her bachelor’s degree in English literature at Haverford College and her master’s degree in Teaching and Learning at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She taught at Georgetown Day School in Washington, D.C. before coming to the Boston area.
