Academic Biography
Chris is currently a fifth year graduate student in organic chemistry at Harvard University. During his time at Harvard, Chris has taught both first and second semester organic chemistry as well as a graduate level organic synthesis course. Chris has received a Harvard teaching award for his classroom instruction as well as his involvement as a non-resident Organic Chemistry tutor for Kirkland House.
Personal Biography
In the midst of his undergraduate education, Chris took a six-year hiatus, during which time he earned a silver medal in the Pan-American Games in Cuba and competed in the Olympic Games in Barcelona as a member of the Short-Track Cycling Team. Chris also worked for Pfizer for a number of years as a medicinal organic chemist before pursuing his PhD in Organic Chemistry. Chris is also a jazz musician and before signing his life over to the Harvard Chemistry Department, he performed as a freelance double bassist in over 100 performances per year.
