Academic Biography
Aubry graduated first in her class from Mount Holyoke with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, a minor in Religion, and Five College Program certificates in Buddhist Studies and in Public Health. She spent the fall of her junior year in Northern India studying Buddhism and conducting an independent ethnographic study on the perception and treatment of karmic disease in Tibetan Medicine. Aubry tutored for Mount Holyoke's Speaking, Arguing, and Writing Center for two and a half years where she worked with her peers on their writing assignments and oral presentations. She also has experience working as a substitute teacher and teacher's aide in the public school system.
Personal Biography
Aubry is passionate about helping people and healing healthcare. She is currently participating in a year-long internship at Boston University's Boston Healing Landscape Project, a research initiative that is mapping the medical pluralism of Boston and developing cultural competence curriculum for BU medical students. She plans to begin Medical Anthropology doctoral work next fall and aspires to professorship. In her spare time, Aubry loves to letter-write and journal, read, jog, and explore Boston's museums, galleries, and ethnic restaurants.
