Peter graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University (class of 2011). His official major was in chemistry but he was only a few courses away from majors in math and physics. After getting accepted to every PhD program he applied to, Peter now happily resides at MIT. He works with Professor Arup Chakraborty at the interesection of physics, chemistry and biology to apply models from statistical mechanics and machine learning to discover new methods in computational immunology. Peter has always loved teaching. He tutored Organic Chemistry at Cornell, and enjoyed a full year of TAing at MIT in general chemistry and bioengineering.
Peter is currently a PhD candidate in the department of Chemistry at MIT. He is passionate about all areas of science including physics, chemistry, biology and applied mathematics. His interests extend beyond the world of science though, and he is an avid distance runner.
