Academic Biography

Tracy is an undergraduate at Harvard, where she plans to pursue a special concentration in global health. She graduated as valedictorian of her high school class in San Diego, California. She tutored math for three years at her local community college and privately to high school students, covering all levels from pre-algebra to calculus. Aside from math, she loves writing, and took three summers of intensive courses on expository, creative essay, and fiction writing; in 2007, her writing was published in the nationally-circulated Imagine Magazine. Tracy also enjoys science, and worked on a gene amplification research at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. She scored 2370 on the SAT and earned 5’s on 10 AP tests (Calculus AB, Calculus BC, English Literature, English Composition, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, US History, Art History, Spanish Language, and Psychology).

Personal Biography

Born in China, Tracy grew up in Beijing, Kentucky, Finland, and California. From her international background, she’s developed an interest in global affairs and specifically global health, an interest she plans to explore this summer through an internship in Santiago, Chile. At Harvard, she serves as Co-Vice President of Corporate Relations for the International Relations Council, through which she travels with the Model UN team and staffs two Model UN conferences, as well as Project HEALTH, Women in Business, and the Harvard Health Policy Review. Tracy loves to dance, especially hip-hop, and played years of school and traveling club volleyball. She enjoys hanging out with friends, playing Apples to Apples and Taboo, listening to live music at coffee shops, and shopping. Guilty pleasures include Desperate Housewives, The Hills, the Daily Show/Colbert Report, fresh cannolis from the North End, and wooden roller coasters.
