Academic Biography
Chris was the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Yale for two years. During his tenure in the admissions office, Chris read over 2600 applications and 5200 college essays, and he recruited throughout the midwest, the south, and Europe. Now, as a Presidential Scholar at Harvard, Chris is earning his Masters of Divinity degree with a focus on politics, education, and religion. In 2005, Chris graduated from Yale with honors in History and was the recipient of the Bergin Graduation Prize, awarded to a member of the Yale senior class for "outstanding character, wit, and scholarship in the humanities." Upon receiving this distinction, Chris overheard his parents say, "Chris? Wit? What?" At Yale, Chris focused on sports and military history, and his senior thesis considered Little League Baseball and community building in 1950s America.
Personal Biography
When not exploring the culinary wonders of his new hometown of Cambridge, Chris enjoys running along the Charles River listening to James Blunt, Celtic bagpipes, Ben Folds, and John Denver. An ipod full of Madonna music helped Chris complete the Luxembourg Marathon in 2006. In addition, Chris runs 2-3 half-marathons each year. He also plays a mean game of grass tennis. This cycle of going out to eat and running pretty much dominates Chris' non-academic life.
