Academic Biography

Peter has been studying and teaching Linguistics for the last seven years. Currently in a Harvard Ph.D. program, his research focuses on Southeast Asian languages, specifically Thai, which he speaks fluently. He also studies Moro, an endangered language spoken in central Sudan. Before transferring to Harvard in 2006, Peter studied Linguistics for two years at UC San Diego. Before that, he graduated from Dartmouth Cum Laude and with Honors with a degree in Linguistics and Cognitive Science. While ever the specialist, his curiosity keeps his interests varied from Logic and the Philosophy of Language to Anthropology. Peter loves to teach -- he has TA'd linguistics and German courses since he was an undergraduate and has tutored in various capacities throughout graduate school.
